A selection of delicious dishes to choose from and a chance to chat to with friends old and new.
The world's first public speaking board game ~ the public speaking game to be loved by all Toastmasters!
Monopoly is for rainy Sunday afternoons; Murder Mystery dinners are out of fashion, so on Friday night after dinner, we are going to sit down and do what the in-crowd does all over Europe and even in Russia: play Rhetoric, the board-game invented for Toastmasters (and everyone), by Toastmasters.
Compete with old friends and new in this multi-faceted Table Topics style entertainment. Competitive? Get ahead of the game and download the app version so you can practice ahead of time. Start finding groups of 8 to fight it out with inventive wit around a table:
Do you love public speaking?
Do you hate public speaking?
Either way, this is your game. www.rhetoricgame.com
Comedy Open Mic!
With our MC, Jean Stewart from Doncaster Speakers we are opening up the floor to budding comedians to take the Mic and represent their club and show us how talented you are when delivering comedy material. Sign up for space - booking via Jean Stewart
The ever popular chance to take to the floor and talk like no other Toastmaster has done before!
A fabulous affair with good food, drinks and chatting with Toastmasters and friends. What more could you ask for!
We all like a bit of a do and here at the Steel City HQ we are very pleased to announce that we have just the correct level of Pomp and Ceremony arranged for our Gala Dinner on Saturday Night.
Our Special Guests
We are very proud to welcome The Right Worshipful the Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Anne Murphy and her consort, Gavin Holliday as our very special guests for the evening.
The Hall of Fame
The arrangements are in place for a great event with Michael Collins recognising those Toastmasters who merit an award for the past Toastmaster year.
You know we Toastmasters frequently get asked if we wear a red coat and do introductions at dinner and so on?
Well, it just so happens that our very own Steel City Team member, Helen Tait, is not only a Toastmaster but is also a Toast Master!
Helen has very graciously agreed to be our Master of Ceremony and indeed our Toast Master, at our Gala Dinner.
We are looking forward to seeing you all at the Saturday Night Gala Dinner and evening entertainments thereafter.
Disco Dave's Disco!
Dance the night away at the Disco with a Difference!
This time, instead of just choosing a track to play, there will be a prize for the track which gets most people up on the floor and dancing!
In addition...choose the track you DON"T want to hear! Hate the "Birdy Dance"? Loathe "Lady in Red"?
Let us know and we will add it to the NO-PLAY List! Let's see which track gets the most votes for NOT being played!
